Dr. Rishi Swarup is a distinguished Ophthalmologist with a wealth of experience and a stellar academic background. He completed his MBBS from the esteemed Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, where he earned several awards and accolades, including a gold medal in General Surgery and the R L Aadiga Award for the highest marks in final examinations. He pursued his specialization in Ophthalmology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, where he was honored with the Ebenezer prize for the best outgoing postgraduate student.

Professional Journey:

After completing his formal education, Dr. Swarup further honed his skills through a two-year clinical fellowship in Cornea from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, followed by a short-term fellowship in Oculoplasty, Orbit, and Ocular Oncology from LV Prasad Eye Institute. He served as a consultant in Cornea & Anterior Segment services at LV Prasad Eye Institute before joining his father in private practice at Swarup Eye Centre, Hyderabad, where he currently serves as the Medical Director and Consultant Ophthalmologist.

Dr. Swarup has made significant contributions to the field of Ophthalmology through his academic and clinical work focused on Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. He is renowned for his innovative surgical techniques in lamellar corneal surgery, which have earned widespread acclaim. Additionally, he has presented numerous papers, posters, and videos at national and international conferences, winning best paper awards on several occasions.
